Service providers must be able to quickly and easily change network conﬁgurations. Whether these changes are new

network devices, transport provisioning or the addition of new services, conﬁguration can be slow and cumbersome

using CLI. Misconﬁgurations and slow deployment of new services or devices can be a common side eect.

ExtremeXOS®CLIscripts—anecientwaytorolloutanetwork

usingcongurationtemplates.

Serviceprovidersmustbeabletoquicklyandeasilychange

thenetworkcongurations.Whetherthesechangesarenew

networkdevices,thetransportprovisioningortheadditionof

newservices,congurationcanbeslowandcumbersomeusing

CLI.Miscongurationsandslowdeploymentofnewservicesor

devicescanbeacommonsideeect.

ThepowerfulvisualizationcapabilitiesofRidgelineprovide

detailedgraphicalrepresentationsofthenetwork,coupledwith

point-and-clickprovisioning,toreducethelikelihoodofhuman

error.Auser-friendlyinterfaceallowstheoperatortoselect

andauto-provisionspecicnetworkelementsbychoosingthe

appropriateapplicationtoexecutefromadrop-downmenu.
